Riset APJII di 2013 menunjukkan bahwa pengguna internet di Indonesia mencapai 71,19 juta orang meningkat 13 persen dibanding tahun 2012 yang mencapai sekitar 63 juta pengguna. Jumlah yang fantastis melihat dari pergerakan pengguna internet dari tahun 2003 yang hanya sebesar 8 jutaan. Dalam kurun waktu 10 tahun, pengguna internet di Indonesia bertumbuh hampir 10 kali lipat. Diperkirakan Tahun 2015 Indonesia akan mencapai 139 Juta pengguna internet.
We Are Social di Singapura kembali memberikan satu analisis barunya yang menampilkan Quarter Pertama 2015 ini, pengguna Social Media di Indonesia mencapai 72 Juta Pengguna. Maka penetrasi pengguna Facebook di Indonesia saat ini adalah 28% persen. 62 juta diantaranya adalah mobile user for social media, dalam arti penetrasinya adalah senilai 24%.
Bila dibuatkan tabel yang menggabungkan laporan Sycomos, ComScore dan Komunitas Twitter Fred Wilson, total pengguna Twitter diseluruh dunia mencapai 240 juta pengguna.
